As the need arises to make a statement on a controversial issue, a study is done and a report given to the General Presbytery for approval as an official statement of The General Council of the Assemblies of God. The following statements are position papers of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.

They are biblically sound positions on topics that can become controversial and divisive. We do not strive to be 'politically correct' when it comes to sometimes controversial topics. We attempt to shed much needed light onto these topics, rather than just generating heated rhetoric. The studies that are done on these subjects are in-depth and comprehensive and are according to the infallible Word of God.
